Individual Peer Support

For Crime Victims and Survivors, Exonerated Individuals, and Family Members

What To Expect

Peer support is delivered by trained volunteers who can offer encouragement and guidance based on their lived experiences. Program participants will be thoughtfully matched with a trained peer supporter who will provide non-clinical emotional support based on shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment. This program thrives on the unique bond that forms when individuals who have walked similar paths come together to share, grow, and heal.

Activities

  • Connect with a trained peer supporter who can provide emotional support and encouragement.
  • Your peer supporter will guide and help you based on your expressed needs and identified goals.
  • Decide with your peer supporter how often you would like to communicate, and create a schedule that works for you.
