Our Healing Justice Retreats

One of our most successful and effective services is our Healing Justice Retreats. We hosted our 12th retreat this fall, and have another scheduled before the end of the year. Held at a beautiful location outside of Richmond, VA, with expansive countryside views and plenty of time for rest and reflection, our retreats hold sacred space for the healing journey of our participants.

Who Qualifies for a Healing Justice Retreat?

Our Healing Justice Retreats bring together crime survivors, crime victims’ families, the exonerated and their families, and others who are affected by wrongful convictions. Some of our retreats are geared toward individuals with a similar shared perspective with the goal of individual healing, while others are structured to serve people coming from different angles, in an effort to have healthy discourse and collective healing.

How Do We Make Healing Justice Retreats Accessible?

We offer our retreats free of charge to participants, covering all costs of travel, lodging, and food. By eliminating the financial burden, many are able to attend from around the country. We also offer a facilitation role to participants who attend 3 retreats.

How Can You Help With Healing Justice Retreats?

If you are moved to help us in some way, would you consider becoming a Healing Justice Retreat sponsor? It’s one of the most direct and expedient ways to make a measurable, tangible difference in the lives of people harmed by wrongful convictions.
